The Guthrie Noon Lions Club recently celebrated its 100th year celebration with a wonderful banquet at the Dominion House.
John V. Anderson, chairmen of the board of F&M Bank in nine Oklahoma locations, has been named an inductee of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Hall of Fame for 2019. The award will be presented Thursday, December 5th at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.
Anderson has been Chairman Emeritus/Director of F&M Bank in Edmond since 2017.
Anderson graduated from Choctaw High School in 1945 and with the help of his father, went directly to the recruiting station and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17.
A civil lawsuit was filed in Oklahoma County on Nov. 18 against Gaylord Z. Thomas, a former Guthrie City Council member.
According to court documents, Thomas is being accused of sexual assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, sexual harassment, and negligence.

Like their annual Halloween revue Macabret, Snow Business puts a Christmas spin on musical theatre tunes, and showcases nearly 100 of UCO’s finest Musical Theatre students.
