More than $30,000 in scholarships will be awarded by the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association in 2023 to undergraduate students attending Oklahoma colleges or universities. Current students and high school seniors planning to attend college in Oklahoma are eligible as long as they have an interest in the beef cattle industry.

Applications should be turned in quickly, as the deadline to apply is March 26, 2023. Students will only need to fill out one application for multiple scholarships.

Scholarship winners will be notified in late Spring, and scholarship presentations will take place in July and August. The first half will be presented July 23rd and 24th at the 71st Annual Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Convention and Trade Show in Norman, Oklahoma. The second half will be presented on August 18th and 19th at the 39th Annual OCA Ranch Rodeo at the Lazy E Arena, here, in Guthrie.

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Assocation strives to provide students with the resources it has to help them succeed anyway possible. Mariah Remier, Executive Director for OCA expressed the association’s enthusiasm for bringing youth into the industry.

“The future of agriculture is dependent upon our youth growing into the industry and flourishing,” said Remier. “I hope our members and those throughout the agricultural industry will share our scholarship opportunities, continue to preserve past traditions, and educate future generations. For anyone who is wanting to make a lasting impact and make a difference through educational funding, I encourage you to please reach out so I can help guide you through this life changing experience!”
