The vision of General Tommy Daniels to feed those in need on Thanksgiving has persevered faithfully for 18 continuous years. 2022 will be the 19th year that those dedicated to that vision have continued the tradition through hard work and donations.

General Daniel’s Thanksgiving Feast will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building located at 123 North 1st Street in Guthrie. Wyvette Curry is catering the event, and local churches and the Territorial Riders will be assisting. There will be plenty of traditional Thanksgiving food and musical entertainment.

Organizers expect a wide-array of varied attendees from Langston University students who don’t go home for the holiday to Job Corp. students to elderly, sick, and in-need people, or just folks who are lonely and want to break bread with others. Donations are appreciated to help with the cost of this blessed event.

Contact Pastor Hersey Hammons at (405) 760-4285 or Evelyn Nephew at (405) 282-2083 to make a donation or for more information.
