Kristen Noel Benham, 24, of Guthrie, OK left this earth on February 25, 2021.

Kristen was born on December 24, 1996 to Craig and Laura Benham. Kristen loved music, participating in the Guthrie Band for 7 years through 6th grade, junior high and high school. Kristen was also an avid animal lover. She attended Angel Fire Equestrian Center starting at age 8, first learning to ride and progressing to working the horses and instructing students. Upon graduation from Guthrie High School in 2015, she turned this love of animals into her vocation pursuit, attending college to become a Vet Technologist and working at Oak Ridge Equine Hospital in Edmond. In her spare time, her favorite hobbies revolved around “Lake Life” where she enjoyed fishing, camping and boating.

Kristen will be forever remembered and loved by her parents, Craig and Laura; her sister Bella; her grandparents Tom and Donna Benham of Collinsville; her grandmother Mary Madden of Meeker; and her grandparents Leonard and Louise Woodard of Del City. Kristen had many aunts and uncles including Melissa and Dave Henshall of Meeker; John and Kelly Benham of Sperry; Brad Benham of Collinsville; Grant Benham of Boston, MA; Marty and Tammy Benham of Moore; and Steve and Ami Whitley of Moore. Her cousins include Justin, Libby, Peyton, Eli, Brady, Abbie, Sophie, Zach, Bryanna, Lauren and Jonathon and many more. Kristen had numerous friends with whom she loved to spend time with. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Martha Barnett and her grandfather Jim Madden.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Guthrie First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Fields officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Jacktown, Oklahoma. In an effort to allow everyone to attend Kristen’s service, face masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Kristen’s service will be livestreamed online at www.fccguthrie.org. Kristen’s wish would be that everyone wear casual attire, especially jeans and boots. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home. The casket will not be open at any time.
