Johnnie Ralph Mauldin

Johnnie Ralph Mauldin, resident of Guthrie, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. He was 70 years old. A funeral ceremony to celebrate Johnnie’s life will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service, Shawnee, OK. Johnnie will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park privately at a later date.

Johnnie was born on February 24, 1953, in Shawnee, OK to his parents, Russel Eugene Mauldin and Reba Jane (Hendershott) Mauldin. He was raised in the Rock Creek area east of Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School as part of the class of 1971. After high school, Johnnie worked at Central Plastics until earning his CDL, which allowed him to work for Lowe’s, drive a concrete mixer, and drive a school bus. Outside of work, Johnnie spent much time at the gym and enjoyed competing as a bodybuilder. He also enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was metal detecting or riding motorcycles. Johnnie grew up in the Church of God (Seventh Day) in Shawnee and recently rekindled his love for studying the bible. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Russel and Reba Mauldin, brother, Donald “Gene” Mauldin, and sister, Judy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maryann Walls of Edmond, son, Dalton John Mauldin and wife Michelle of Moore, OK, daughter, Reba Mauldin of Norman, OK, six grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
