Charles Wesley Johnson, 80, of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born February 9, 1943 in Corsicana, Texas to Thomas E. and Margaret Lou (Garland) Johnson. He passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his residence in Guthrie.
Charles enjoyed life as a loving husband to Judy Johnson but his passion was always music. He brightened the days of his family and friends and shared his love of life with them also.
Charles will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Glenn Johnson and Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri Margaret (Johnson) Gardynecki of Guthrie; his sister, Patricia Diane Garcia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandson, Eric and his wife, Sara. Charles is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Danny Johnson, Marla Jurek, Eddie “Carl” Garcia, Renee Garcia Garia and Michelle Gould.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 1, 2023 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wayne Parsons for the 36 years of friendship with Charles and knows that Charles loved you like family.
