Logan County Free Fair set for Sept. 8-12

The Logan County Free Fair is set for Sept. 8-12, with a full schedule of livestock shows, contests, demonstrations, exhibits and family activities planned throughout the week.

The fair begins Tuesday with 4-H and FFA indoor entries being accepted from 4 to 7 p.m.

Wednesday features OHCE indoor entries from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by open, 4-H and FFA entries from 4 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, indoor exhibits will be open to the public from 1 to 8 p.m., along with the Cookie Bar. Farmhand Olympics check-in is from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m., with the competition beginning at 5:30 p.m. Homemade salsa entries will be accepted from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by the salsa contest at 6 p.m.

Friday offers a full day of activities. Indoor exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the Cookie Bar from 1 to 8 p.m. Interactive 4-H demonstrations will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Livestock must be in place by 4 p.m. for those stalling overnight, followed by animal weighing at 4:30 p.m.

The FFA Farmers Market will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. Cake, pie and cupcake entries will be accepted from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with judging at 6:30 p.m. Special awards will also be presented at 6:30 p.m. Rabbit and poultry check-in runs from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by judging at 7 p.m.

Saturday begins with the livestock show at 8 a.m. Indoor exhibits and the Cookie Bar will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Exhibit release and premium pickup will take place from 1:30 to 2 p.m., followed by a Cornhole Tournament at 3 p.m.

The Logan County Free Fair is open to the community and offers activities for all ages.
