Officer Quinlan was promoted to patrol sergeant during a ceremony Monday, Aug. 31.
Guthrie Police Chief Sweger announced Quinlan’s promotion following a rigorous process. Quinlan will serve as a first-line supervisor, helping set the culture of her shift, enforce department standards and protect the integrity of the department.
Quinlan’s promotion also marks a milestone for the Guthrie Police Department. The department has not had a female supervisor since 2004.
The department said it is proud Quinlan chose to advance into a leadership role and congratulated her on the well-deserved promotion.
