ARCADIA – Singer-songwriter Gordon McKinney will provide Morning Music on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Arcadia Round Barn.
The concert will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beneath the shade of the giant elm tree on the north side of the barn. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Masks are required.
McKinney weaves stories of heartache, love, loss and hope with layers of delicate finger-picking and self-deprecating humor. In 2019, he toured the United Kingdom with his partner, Heather Burns, a dancer and choreographer. Burns will perform with McKinney at the Round Barn.
The Round Barn is located six miles east of Interstate 35 on Historical Route 66. The barn is currently open Friday through Monday. Check the barn’s website and Facebook page for operating hours, which vary based on volunteer availability.
