Coyle School Foundation Golf Tournament Held

There were 42 players in the Coyle School Foundation golf tournament held August 7 at Cimarron Trails.  There were three teams who tied for first prize and a winning playoff occurred.  The winning team was James Flasch (Coyle School alum), Linda Flasch LaFleur (Coyle School alum), Shane Weathers, Coyle High School Principal, and Terry Zink, Coyle School Superintendent.  The second place team was Corby Smithton, Jack Smithton, Jimmy Wallace, and Mike Wallace, and the third place team was the Oklahoma Community Credit Union sponsored team consisting of players, Daniel Thrasher, Nick Davis, Jim Freudenberger and Chris Roark.

Closest to the pin were Jack Smithton and Isaac Koehn for winners of prizes. 

The Coyle School Foundation golf tournament is usually played the first Saturday of August.  Golf tournament coordinator, Danny Moorman, Coyle School Foundation Board Member, said “The players did a great job with the tournament being so close in score and much appreciation is extended to the sponsors. The funds raised by the Golf Tournament go to Coyle School Foundation to support teacher grants for student curriculum or other efforts to improve education.”
