William Franklin Anderson
William Franklin Anderson, also known as Bill or Frankie to others, was born on July 4, 1946, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Noah and Elise Lorena (Brashier) Anderson. He passed away on August 15, 2024, in Oklahoma City.
Frankie proudly served as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he demonstrated exceptional dedication and bravery, earning him a Rifle Expert badge, a Vietnam Service medal, a National Defense Service medal, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal, and a Purple Heart. His commitment to his country was unwavering.
In his leisure time, Frankie found enjoyment in playing cards, visiting the casino, and watching boxing matches.
Frankie leaves behind his sister Connie Grafton of Guthrie; nieces Vivian Marsalia of Texas, Kristyn Oliver and her husband Austin of Texas, and Mandy Reed of Guthrie; nephew James Rutledge of Texas; and his beloved dog Peanut, who was always by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Elise Anderson, sister Carolyn Rutledge, and niece Tracie Reed.
There are no services planned at this time. His ashes will be scattered at Galveston Bay in Texas at a later date.
