Virginia Lee Hampton was born September 30, 1927 in Wellston, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2021.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Okie and Ethel Bates; sisters, Lynn Sullivan and Nina Fae Del Roserio; brother, Bob Bates; husband, Paul Hampton; and grandson Jesse Hampton.
Shortly after graduating from Wellston High School, Virginia moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and met the love of her life, Paul Hampton and was married in 1947. After sixty one years of marriage, Paul went to be with The Lord in 2008.
Paul and Virginia had two sons, Stephen and Scott Hampton. Steve married Margo Blackwell and had 4 children, Rebekah, Rachel, Jesse & Sarah. Scott married Tisha Smith and had two children, Scotty and Angie. Virginia has six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Virginia’s family would like to invite you to the service celebrating her life and legacy at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 18, 2021 at Community Church, 512 East Seward Road Guthrie, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
