Kellie Germaine Hayes, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, after a lifelong battle with Marfan Syndrome. She was 58 years old.
Born on February 10, 1966, in San Pablo, California, Kellie was the cherished daughter of Kelton and Margaret Hayes. Her loving parents survive her, as do her three sisters, Shellie Hayes-McMahon and her husband Matt McMahon, Stacie Hayes, and Kelanie Hayes; her brother, Montel Hayes, and his wife, LaToya Hayes. Kellie was the proud and devoted Auntie to six nephews and one niece, all of whom will deeply miss her love, care, and joyful presence.
A devout Jehovah’s Witness, Kellie was a longtime member of the Guthrie Congregation, where she found faith, community, and purpose. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1983 and was well-known and loved as a Pharmacy Technician at the Guthrie Walmart, where she worked for decades.
Kellie’s smile and laugh that could light up any room. She loved Prince, playing Candy Crush, attending meetings at her local Kingdom Hall and Sonic Ice. She loved to change her look—her hair, clothes, and makeup—and was always beautiful inside and out.
Kellie’s family would like to thank her friends, colleagues, and congregation for the love and support they showed her throughout her life. Her strength, kindness, and faith inspired all who knew her. Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5025 S. Sooner Rd, Guthrie OK, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2024 at 2pm.
