Judy Price 1946-2025

Judy Marie Price, a woman whose kindness, creativity, and faith illuminated every life she touched, passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on October 18, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1946, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Zelda Mae (Ott) Miller and Raymond Adrian Miller. Judy was preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Miller, maternal grandmother, Nellie Mae Ott, and her beloved father.

A devoted Christian, Judy lived her life as a reflection of grace and compassion. Her heart was open to all: family, friends, and strangers alike. She shared kindness freely and found joy in comforting others. She was happiest when she was among her loved ones.

As a child, Judy was vibrant, curious, and full of imagination. She cherished memories of attending tent revivals with her Grandma Ott, feeding cattle alongside her father, spending time with her Grandma and Grandpa Miller, and occasionally accompanying her mother to work as a telephone operator in the early 1950s.

During the 1970s and 1980s, Judy became a prolific and highly regarded artist, known for her ability to capture beauty through many media, including pastels, pen and ink, oils, and watercolors. Her warmth shone, not only in her art but in the way she cared for people. She loved others deeply and found meaning in service, whether through her years at Oklahoma State University, or later as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where her gentle care brought comfort and dignity to those in need.

Judy was a devoted mother to her three daughters: Gina Marie Miller of Stillwater; Shelley Schmiedbauer Nunley of Mulhall; and Hayley Ann Frazier (husband, Eric Frazier) of Chandler. Her love for them was steadfast and unconditional, a guiding light through every season of their lives. They cherished her in equal measure.

She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Kalyn Brittany Burke, McClain Don Robinson, Savannah Hayley Dobson, Landon William Schmiedbauer, Presley McKay Miller, Brody Ray Nunley, and Carley Jeanne Frazier; and the delighted great-grandmother of Journey Joy, Hadassah Setareh, Havah Nissi, and Noelani Rain Burke; and Shiloh Eloise Dobson. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, her humor, creativity, and kindness forward into the world.

Judy raised her three daughters with her first husband, William Wayne (Bill) Schmiedbauer. In 2006, life brought her full circle when she reunited with and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth J. Price. Together, they shared laughter, faith, and enduring love.

Judy’s legacy is one of beauty and compassion, a life lived with an artist’s eye, a caregiver’s hands, and a heart anchored in faith. Though she has gone home to the Lord, her love remains, etched forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
