John Richard Gibson, 75, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026.
John was born on November 7, 1950, in Springfield, Missouri, to Barbara Ann Gibson and Henry Charles Gibson. He later made his home in Guthrie, OK, where he became known as a skilled and dedicated custom home builder, taking great pride in his work and the homes he built.
He was a man with a generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need without expecting anything in return. He loved his family deeply and found his greatest joy in them.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Wanda, and a devoted father to his daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law, Tyler. His four grandchildren— Ashtynn, Dustin, Brylee, and Charleigh—brought him so much joy.
John will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those closest to him. He will be deeply missed.
A viewing will be held Monday, April 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1624 N Pine, Guthrie, OK. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, April 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of God Chapel, 304 Lakeview Road, Guthrie, OK.
