Jean “Bonnie” Marie Brugh 1942 - 2026

Jean “Bonnie” Marie Brugh, a woman of quiet brilliance and deep love for her family, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and devotion on April 28, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Bonnie was born on March 3, 1942, in Binghamton, New York, to Rollie Crisler and Rosemary (La Barge) Crisler. From an early age, she stood out for her intelligence and determination, graduating high school at just 16 years old as the valedictorian of her class, a reflection of the sharp mind and strong work ethic she carried throughout her life.

She spent many dedicated years working as an administrative secretary for Holden & Tolbert Oil Company, where she was known for her reliability and steady presence before eventually retiring.

In 2004, Bonnie made Guthrie her home after moving from Goose Creek, South Carolina. It was here that she continued to build a life centered on love, comfort, and family. On December 1, 2005, she married Emory Brugh in Charleston, South Carolina, beginning a partnership filled with companionship and care.

Bonnie found joy in the simple, meaningful things. She had a gift for interior design and took pride in refinishing furniture, bringing beauty and new life to the spaces around her. Alongside her daughter Tammy, they owned and operated “The Closet” thrift store, where she formed many lasting friendships and had a gift for making every customer feel special. A few years later, Bonnie and her son Eddie joined Tammy in running “The Vintage Market USA,” an eclectic antique store where her warmth and spirit continued to shine.

She loved bowling, studying, and was always eager to learn something new. She found peace in gardening and had a special love for her dogs. Above all else, Bonnie cherished her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.

Survivors include her children: Maggi Snyder, Eddie Snyder, PatSnyderandwifeJulie, and Tammy Pralle and husband Dustin; stepdaughters: Eva Brugh DeSilva and Lori Teseniar and husband James; nine grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
