Edith Joy Lowder, 92, of Edmond, OK passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK, surrounded by the love of her family. Edith was born on May 23, 1932 in Logan County, Oklahoma to Clifford and Roma (Wilson) Hatfield. Edith is survived by her son, James E. (and Jeanna) Lowder of Talala, OK. and daughters Vicky (and John) Vance of Edmond, OK. and JoAnn (and Kelly) Sullivan of Johns Creek, Georgia along with 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Lowder, her brother Jim Hatfield and her beloved parents, Cliff and Roma Hatfield. Edith grew up in Logan County, Oklahoma and attended school in Guthrie. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was thankful for all of her blessings in life. Edith lived her life with integrity and loved and enjoyed being in nature. She had a positive influence on her family. She enjoyed camping, boating at the lake and teaching her children to swim and water ski. For her career, she worked as an office manager and did accounting. She took special joy while working on her family’s genealogy, fishing, playing cards and oil painting. Edith was an extraordinary woman and her family will never forget the love that she brought to their lives. Her memory will be honored and loved, she will be missed dearly.
