Published in the Guthrie News Leader - May 13, 2026 Diane Renee Roberts, 61, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Grove, OK. Born on July 16, 1964, in Coffeyville, KS, to Frank and Evelyn Houck, Diane grew up in a warm and loving household.
Diane graduated from Guthrie High School in 1982 and pursued further education at Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma. She dedicated many years to her career in medical billing and coding at a physician’s office in Oklahoma City, where her meticulous nature greatly contributed to her professional success.
Diane was an exceptionally talented musician, proficient in playing the piano, oboe, guitar, and saxophone. She also sang in the choir and played the oboe in her high school band in Guthrie. Her love for music was paralleled by her enjoyment of fishing, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
A devout member of the Church on the Hill in Grove, OK, Diane actively participated in the church community, sharing her musical talents and compassionate spirit.
Diane is survived by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Houck of Grove, OK; her children, Tyler Thurman (Matilda) of New Orleans, LA, and Harley Roberts of Guthrie, OK; and her grandchildren, Athena, Elaine, Thierry, and Marceline.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Church on the Hill. Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services in Grove, OK, is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Diane’s memory. Diane will be remembered as a multitalented individual whose life was as rich and varied as the music she loved.
