Alicia Marie Poindexter, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 72. Born on July 10, 1952, in Springfield, MA, Alicia was the cherished daughter of the late Edward William and Alice Louise Matyskiela.
Alicia’s life was a testament to her loving nature, her sense of humor, and her wisdom, which touched everyone she met. She is lovingly remembered by her children Shannon Lumpkin and husband Bobby Lumpkin; Bobby Sykes and wife Heather Sykes, Johnnie Sykes, and wife Stephanie Sykes. husband Joe Pierce and sister Cindy Hughes and husband William Hughes. Alicia’s legacy continues through her thirteen grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Alicia’s presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all the lives she so positively influenced.
