Langston University celebrates Black History Month

Langston University, Oklahoma’s only Historically Black College or University, has a large slate of activities planned to celebrate Black History Month. The university will host a variety of educational, cultural, athletic and community- building events held at both the Langston and Tulsa campuses. A full list of Black History Month activities can be found online at langston. edu/bhm.

'Now more than ever, it is important for us to celebrate Black History everywhere, because Black history is a critical part of American history which is also a critical part of world history!” said Joshua Busby, the Dean of Students in the Division of Student Affairs. “As we reflect on our past, we must hold fast with hope and expectation that the impact that has been left along with our experiences, will encourage us all as a people, that we will overcome someday.”
