Charles Robert Bostwick left this life Friday, May 5th, 2023. He was preceded in death by both his parents Leroy and Nellie. All his siblings Lawrence, Beulah, Donna, Irma, Bill, and Merle. And his son James. He is survived By his daughter Tina, his daughter in law Misty, 5 grandchildren Skylar, Kolten, Dalton, Xavier, and Kattie. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren Aiden, Avery, Christopher, and Haizley.
Charles was born April 10th 1944. He graduated high school in 1967. He spent his Army years as a fuel injection specialist (mechanic) stationed in Germany. Consequently, he loved throwing a word or two of German into any conversation that he could.
After he returned home and married Linda Osborne. They set about starting a family.
Charles led a very simple life, saving as much money as he could, just in case he could help somebody else. He turned down more lucrative jobs, in lieu of ones that would allow him to be with his family in the evenings. He taught us that “It doesn’t do any good to buy a kid a bike, if there’s no one to teach them to ride it.” Family remained a priority throughout his life. Evidenced by the love felt and returned by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charles loved being outside. He spent his free time doing lawn work, gardening and fishing. He spent his last day playing in the dirt. He repotted, and planted all his flowers and asked Xavier to find out online how to make hanging baskets.
He passed peacefully in his sleep, after battling heart disease for years. He will be missed immeasurably.
