Marcy Rae Smith passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born on November 25, 1957, in Redwood City, California to George Rafel and Margaret (Gass) Rinabarger.
Marcy graduated from Los Altos High School in 1976 and studied Horticulture at Foothill College. She worked for Guthrie Greenhouses as a sales representative and recently in plant sales at Terra Cotta. Marcy formerly worked as an office manager at Oakley’s Landscape and Maintenance Contractor and was a floral designer at Mary’s Flower Shop for many years.
Marcy moved to Guthrie in 1985 and married Danny Smith on November 25, 1992. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Marcy enjoyed being with her grandkids, flowers and gardening, traveling and going to the beach.
Survivors include her husband Danny Smith of the home in Guthrie, daughters Kimberly Crawley and husband J.T. of Parker, CO, Dawn Hall and husband Shannon of Little Elm, TX and Jill Calvert and husband Cully of Rainer, OR. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, J.J., Charlie, Aubrey, Christopher, Shemane and Hunter. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Rinabarger.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
