A stabbing on Saturday afternoon injured three people and has resulted in the arrests of two juveniles.
The juveniles remain unnamed as they made initial arraignment proceedings in front of Judge Luke Duel on Monday afternoon. Bond was set at $500,000 for each defendant and they were remanded to the custody of the Logan County Sheriff ’s Office to be transported to an unnamed juvenile detention facility later on Monday. No official charges had been announced as of yesterday at press time.
The stabbings allegedly occurred at a downtown residence as the juveniles were allegedly attempting to burglarize and surprised one of the residents.
Initial reports indicate an alleged altercation between the juveniles and the resident when the second two residents tried to get into the residence. When the other two residents tried to get in the door was allegedly locked and the door was kicked in to find the juveniles fighting with the first victim.
In the process of defending themselves, the female resident was then stabbed by the juvenile assailants as they allegedly attempted to exit the residence.
The adult male resident then gave chase after the assailants and was also stabbed in the process. The homeowner then used pepper spray to attempt to subdue the juveniles. In the process and the 25-mile-an -hour wind, some bystanders were complaining of skin and eye irritation.
The alleged suspects were eventually detained and arrested by Guthrie Police. The stabbing victims were transported to Oklahoma City hospitals for treatment. As of press time, one victim had been released from the hospital and the female victim was in good condition.
