Eunice Belle (Rose) Griffin

Eunice Belle (Rose) Griffin was the youngest of 8 children born to Sarah and Naaman Rose on June 24, 1921 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She left this world to meet her Lord on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022 at the age of 101.

Eunice married Kenneth Griffin in June 1940. She was a full time mother and homemaker raising their 3 children and cared for Kenneth’s disabled mother for 25 years.

She loved to read the best of all books, the Bible and could recite from scriptures word for word. You wouldn’t want to debate her on it because she was almost always right. Eunice taught Sunday School for 50 years and touched many lives.

Eunice entered Ash Street Place, an assisted living center, in September 2015 where she made new friends. She met Dorothy Smith and they became best friends and were inseparable.

She loved her family and friends and she loved the Lord. We will miss our Mom, Grandma, and Great - Gran but know she is rejoicing in meeting her Lord and Savior and reuniting with Kenneth and all of her siblings and many friends that went before her.

Eunice is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Kenneth; grandson, David; and all of her siblings and many friends.

She is survived by her children, Helen Smith, Pearl Speer (Bill), Kenneth Griffin, Jr. (Linda); grandchildren, Ken Smith, Randy Smith, Doug Smith, Louis Speer (Becky), Chuck Speer (Kimberly), Casey Speer (Rachael), Trey Griffin (AJ), and Tiffany Vest (Brent). Eunice was also Great-Gran to Jordan Speer, Alex Speer, Lukas Speer, Logan Speer, Griffin Speer, Alexandra Griffin, Reagan Griffin, Blake Vest, and Kacie Vest as well as 2 step-greatgrandchildren, Chase and Madison Stimatz.

The family would like to thank Ash Street Place for the loving care our beloved Mom received. A special thank you to Jack Miller for faithfully taking Mom to and from Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2022 at First Southern Baptist Church. A private family burial will take place. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
