James DeWayne Moad

James DeWayne Moad, age 73 of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on November 2, 2022, in Edmond. He was born on December 6, 1948, to Robert and Marriane (Tschentscher) Moad in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

James grew up in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School. He moved to Edmond in 1977. James was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was employed for over 30 years with Western Electric as a Tester. James enjoyed gardening, farming and working puzzles.

Survivors include his son Heath Moad and wife Courtney of Edmond, daughter Sarah Hayes and husband Kyle of Edmond, sister Ingrid Willnurth and husband Tony of Guthrie and sister Jeannette Nealy of Yukon. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Mason Hayes, Tyson Hayes, Gabrielle Hayes, Nicolet Moad, Adriana Moad and Lucian Moad. James was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Marianne Moad.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Burial followed at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
