An emergency drought declaration was issued by Governor Stitt last month. As a result, extra costshare assistance is available through the Logan County Conservation District to help farmers and ranchers deal with the effects.
Projects included in the program are water well drilling, pumping facilities, pipeline, pasture tap, watering facilities, heavy use area protection, cover crop planting, forage and biomass planting (excluding Bermuda grass) and pond clean out. Applications will be accepted from October 20 – November 2, 2022.
