Linda was born on the family farm in rural Logan County, Oklahoma, to Raymond C. and Zula M. Graves, on August 8, 1949. She was the oldest of four children and the only daughter. She grew up on the farm and worked there until her employment at the Furniture Factory in Guthrie, Oklahoma. This is where she met her soulmate, Micah. She graduated from Guthrie in 1967, and after graduation, they were married and moved to Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. They had a son Michael “Chris” Morrow.Theywouldmove to Fort Belvoir, Virginia, before returning to Oklahoma, where they would live in Guthrie and Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Linda was a loving wife and mother who chose to stay home during this time to care for her family. She would later work at a savings and loan company in Bartlesville before moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she worked for another financial institution until she returned home to Guthrie and became an administrative assistant at Langston University, where she would stay until she retired in 2012.
She enjoyed her retirement by working in her garden and flowers, spending time with family and friends, and riding trains and hot air balloons with her niece, Skylar and her husband, Casey Palmer. She loved the beauty she found in nature; she was always in God’s cathedral and at peace. The impact she had on her family and friends was enormous. She was a blessing to everyone she met and was always described as pleasant.
Her life came full circle on Monday, September 19, 2022, when she passed away at her home on the farm.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dwayne Glen Graves.
Linda is survived by her loving son, Michael “Chris” Morrow and wife, Glenda Morrow of Mulhall, Oklahoma; a grandson; two brothers, Jerry Lynn Graves and Daryl Ray Graves and his wife, Denisa Graves of Guthrie along with several nieces, nephews, many well-loved friends, and her beloved pembroke welsh corgi, Budd.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no memorial service but the family will celebrate her life later.
On behalf of the Graves and Morrow family, we wish to express our gratitude for your kindness as evidenced by your thoughts and deeds.
