M-O FFA and 4-H Go to the County Fair

The Logan County Fair and Livestock Show is something that many 4-H and FFA members look forward to. Members entered their projects such as floral arrangements, decorated pumpkins, photographs, and posters displaying the lifecycle of butterflies or the growing process of corn. Those who placed highly in their category have qualified for the Oklahoma City State Fair and the Tulsa State Fair.

Hosted by the Logan County Fair Board, set-up for the livestock show began on Friday, September 9th , while fair entries were judged. The following morning the show began! Starting off with hogs, 4-H member Berkley McKay won Supreme Gilt. Next came sheep, followed by goats with FFA member Roberto Romero winning Grand and Bronze Doe. 4-H member Allie Booth won Grand Reserve Doe, and FFA member Jace Taylor won Grand Reserve Market Wether. Last but not least was the cattle show. FFA member Briley Harman brought home the title of Grand Prospect Steer and Grand Reserve Market Steer. Lastly, 4-H member Kaymden McKay won Grand Market Steer.

With the county fair now in the rearview mirror, the Mulhall-Orlando FFA Chapter is looking forward to the Oklahoma City State Fair on September 15th through 25th and the Tulsa State Fair on September 29th through October 9th. Congratulations to all exhibitors for their hard work!
