I know I say this often but I am excited about everything that is taking place this fall in Guthrie America. This Saturday, September 3rd, is the last Red Brick Nights of the season. Grab your lawn chair and invite your friends to join you downtown near Oklahoma and Wentz for live music featuring Noah Engh, Chloe-Beth and Passable Service. Enjoy a delicious drink from Mack & Ike’s and food from the various food trucks. There will also be vendors and the kid’s area sponsored by North Church. The festivities begin at 5:00PM.
Check out these other great events happening this month: September 9th - Throw on your Bluejay gear and head downtown for the greatest Homecoming parade around! The parade begins at 2:00PM. Then head over to the Rock by 7:00PM to watch the Bluejays battle the Duncan Demons.
September 10th- Do you like cool cars, raffles and food trucks? Then you will not want to miss the 39th Annual Guthrie Road Show Celebration. The fun begins at 8:00AM. September 16th- Guthrie Chamber’s Investor Appreciation Luncheon at Mineral Wells Park. We invite all Chamber Investors to join us for this free luncheon beginning at 11:30AM. We will have food, games, giveaways and fun! Thank you to Companion Healthcare and Mercy Hospital for sponsoring this event. Also on September 16th, is the monthly VFW Auxiliary Dinner. Enjoy chicken fried steak and sides for just $10. Dinner begins at 6:30PM.
September 17th- This will be a busy and exciting day in Guthrie! The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport is hosting their 10th Annual Community Fly-In. This event is from 9:00AM2:00PM. The Fly-In is open to anyone and there is no cost to park or attend. Come out and see various aircraft on display. There will also be children’s activities and free airplane rides for children ages 8 to 17. Crossroads Clinic is hosting their annual Walk for Life 5K fun run at Mineral Wells Park. The event begins at 8:30AM. Enjoy live music, bouncy houses, face painting and more! For registration and more information, visit ccwalkforlife.com. Also on September 17th, Central Oklahoma Camp and Conference Center is hosting their annual Like a Boss Mud Run. This 5K is full of obstacles and MUD.
