A memorial event on Thursday will honor the memory of Lt. Mark Bruning, who had served 20-plus years in the Guthrie Police Department before passing away July 28.
The Aug. 18 event, which is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., is being held at the John Vance Auto Group with a food truck being set up for lunch by BlueJ's Rockin' & Rollin' Grill.
Donations will be accepted, with a portion of sales going to the Woodcrest Volunteer Fire Department in honor of Lt. Bruning, "one of Guthrie's finest officers," the Facebook page reads.
The John Vance Auto Group is generously offering to match donations raised from a portion of the sales, said Megan Vance Ochs, Vice President of the John Vance Auto Group.
