Guthrie Police Lieutenant Mark Bruning was found dead inside of his home Thursday night with no signs of foul play or self-harm according to the Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer, Troy Dykes.
"We are all in shock as well, we are a close-knit family in the Sheriff's office so this was a tragedy for all of us,"
Bruning served 20 plus years in the Guthrie Police Department and was well respected in the Logan County Community. He will be dearly missed by his many family members, friends, coworkers and all others who knew of his kindness.
"We are at a loss for words and our thoughts and prayers are with the Bruning Family and the Guthrie community" concluded Dykes.
