Our beloved Jackie (Jack) Wayne Brooks, 60, of Guthrie, Oklahoma entered into God’s Kingdom on July 21st, 2022 after a tough battle with Liver Cancer. He was born August 20th, 1961 and adopted by his parents William James and Annabell Myrtle Brooks of Tupelo, Oklahoma a few months later.
Jack received his GED in 1979 so he could enlist in the Marines. Before he left for basic training, he married Lisa Anthony on April 16th, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they raised two boys.
With Jack you always knew where he stood! He loved playing canasta with family and insisted the best players were on his team. He enjoyed sitting outside around a bon-fire with family and friends telling stories about truck driving and guns. He was best known around the family for his homemade pumpkin bread and chili.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his son Jackie, Jr and daughter-in-law Jamie; son Dewayne; daughter Tammy Thomas and son-in-law Joshua Thomas; sister Debbie Lancaster; brother Justin; nephews Dennis and Daniel Lancaster; nieces Annie Lancaster and BJ Watts; grandchildren Caitlyn, Christian, Stormy, Kevin, Memphis, Logan, Austin and Lynnlee; greatnieces and nephews Samantha, Alicia, David, Dani, Olivia, and Benny along with many others including friends who loved him very much.
