Richard Winston Argyle, age 83 of Coyle, Oklahoma passed away on June 25, 2022, in Oklahoma City. He was born on March 26, 1939, in Iron Mound (Logan County), Oklahoma to James and Edith (Dutcher) Argyle.
In 1957 Richard married Patricia Boyd and to this union seven children were born: Jeffrey, Valerie, Jennifer, Melody, Pamela, Cynthia, and Jimmy. Richard moved to the area from Kalkaska, Michigan in 1998 and called Coyle home for the last 24 years. He retired from drilling in the oilfield. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding birds and squirrels on his property, and panning gold.
Survivors include son Jeff Argyle and wife Robin of Waco, Texas, daughter Valerie Tracey and husband Danny of Kalkaska, Michigan, daughter Jennifer Franks and husband Drew of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Pamela Hoffman and husband Shane of Arlington, Texas, daughter Cynthia Wilke of Kalkaska, Michigan, son Jimmy Argyle and wife Melissa of Lake Ann Michigan, brother Kenneth Argyle of Coyle, sister Naoma Smith of Coyle, and sister Corene Short of Coyle. Richard is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Edith Argyle, daughter Melody Campbell, brother Dale Argyle and brother Ralph Argyle.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Harmony Cemetery (Cedar Valley: W. Industrial Rd. between S. May Ave. and S. Pennsylvania Ave).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.
