There are plenty of patriotic events happening in and around Guthrie to celebrate the Fourth of July.
LibertyFest Car Show — June 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hafer Park
Fireworks are not the only colorful, flashy display to be seen when Independence Day rolls around. Classic and specialty cars from multiple decades will be on display at Hafer Park. There are a variety of trophies up for grabs. A trophy will be awarded to first and runners-up in all classes as well as sponsor trophies. It is free for the public, and $20 to enter a vehicle prior to the event. It is $25 on the day of the event.
Impact Fireworks Free Demo Night — June 25 at dusk at Impact Fireworks
Some of the most costly fireworks in the Impact Fireworks Warehouse will be shot off for the public to watch. The reason for the top-shelf display is to demonstrate which fireworks people can buy for their personal use. Each firework will be announced before it is shot and spectators can take note of what they enjoy the most so they can buy them for personal use.
The fireworks show starts at dusk. Impact Fireworks organizers encourage spectators to bring friends, a lawn chair and snacks.
Community Church Freedom Fest — June 26 at 5 p.m. at Community Church
Attractions are coming to Community Church’s grassy, shade tree-filled lawn. All are invited to attend Freedom Fest. There will be nine food trucks, along with yard games, face painting and a firework show at dark. There will also be five inflatables for people of all ages to enjoy.
Community Church organizers encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs and money for food trucks.
