Our beloved brother in Christ John entered into God’s Kingdom on May 4th, 2022 after a tough battle with Parkinson’s Disease. John was born to Hulda and Alfred Fruendt on November 13, 1946 in Pryor, OK. When John was younger, his favorite activities were playing football, FFA, showing cattle, and being active in his church youth group. He attended Oklahoma State university and graduated with a degree in Animal Science. John proudly served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard for six years. After graduating, John moved to Irving, TX and pursued a career in food sales. In 1963, John met Karen, a match truly made in heaven. John & Karen went on to have two children, Steven and Brian. In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, John also loved being an active church member and leader, traveling, playing golf, and hunting with his sons and grandkids. Throughout John’s entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a part of the Holy Cow Smokers Disaster Relief Ministry, which gave him countless opportunities to share his faith and love for Jesus Christ by helping those affected by disasters. John joins parents Hulda and Alfred Fruendt, and baby sister Priscilla in Heaven. He is survived by many loving family members, including his wife of 54 years, Karen; his sisters Marguerite and Carol, his brother Ralph; his son Stephen and his wife Patricia and his son Brian and his wife Rhonda; and his grandchildren, Garrett, Aubrie, Cameron, and Liam. We will all miss his loving heart, gentle spirit, infectious smile, and bear hugs.
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
