Rosa Lee (Fullerton) Jones, age 77, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on April 14, 2022, in Guthrie. She was born on May 8, 1944, in San Luis Obispo, California to Robert and Sarah (Rose) Fullerton. She graduated Guthrie High School class of ’62. She was employed for years at Safeway/Homeland in the Video Dept, and shared her passion of reading at Grace Covenant Academy by teaching Learning To Read to Preschool and Kindergarten students. Rosa Lee was a member of God’s House Ministries and a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. She had a great love of dogs, and had established a name for herself by showing and raising Schipperkes. She was a member of The Rebeccas in Guthrie, a ring steward club, the American Kennel Club and Mid-Del Tinker Kennel Club.
Survivors include her husband Charles of the home, daughters Cathy Trout of Guthrie, Carol Flynn of Leavenworth, KS, Doris Ashcraft and husband Tim of Shattuck, OK, and son Charles Jones Jr. and wife Wendy of Guthrie, and sons in love Claud Trout, and William Murphy. Grandchildren, Eric and Amanda, Brenda and Jeromy, Seth and Scott, Josh, Robert and Cherise, Elizabeth and Daniel, Sarai and John, Rachel, Sasha, Nicole and Kyle, Matthew, Jordan, Cody, Dylan, and Kylie, 16 greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law Fern Vaughn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sarah and son-in-law John Flynn.
Rosa Lee’s family will be hosting a celebration of life on Friday April 22, 2022 10:00 A.M. at Community Church, Guthrie, with Dr. Tim Ashcraft and Pastor Wayne Murphy officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to Grace Covenant Academy in honor of Rosa Lee.
