An ongoing investigation at the Guthrie Junior High School was addressed by the school and the Guthrie Police Department late Tuesday night.
This statement was released by Guthrie Public Schools.
On Friday January 7 , GPS administrators were made aware of an allegation against an employee at Guthrie Junior High School by the Guthrie Police Department. This employee was immediately placed on paid administrative leave which is a standard procedure when matters are under investigation. Guthrie Public Schools continues to cooperate with the Guthrie Police Department as the investigation is ongoing. The school district will have no further comment on the matter at this time.

On 01/06/2022 at approx. 7:00 p.m., the Guthrie Police Department was notified of an allegation of inappropriate behavior on behalf of an employee of the Guthrie Public Schools. An investigation was begun, and the Guthrie Public School District was notified. Due to the on-going nature of the investigation, no further details can be released at this time.
