One killed in Collision on Charter Oak Road

A juvenile girl died in a collision at approximately 7:58 a.m. on Monday morning.

The crash occurred on West Charter Oak Road in Logan County, about two miles north of the City of Edmond.

According to the police report, the vehicle was eastbound on Charter Oak Road and departed the roadway to the right. The cause for the crash is unknown at this time.

The vehicle, a Blue 2003 Jeep SUV, rolled partially. The girl was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant, a juvenile boy, survived the crash with minor injuries.

The cause for the collision is under investigation, but the report indicates seatbelts were not in use.

Investigated by Trooper James Lowe (Troop A of Logan County), Trooper Shayne Ballard (THU), Lieutenant Matt White (Troop A.). The troopers were assisted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Cliff Fire Department and the Logan County officer of Emergency Management.
