Ferne Leanne (Sneed) Winters, 79, of Guthrie, OK passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Guthrie. She was born December 7, 1941 in Crescent, OK to Arthur Lee and F. Fern (Willson) Sneed.
She married Eddie Winters on March 23, 1973.
Leanne was a member of Noble Avenue Baptist Church and accepted Jesus into her heart at a very young age. She was an avid reader and when she was 19 years old, she worked at the library in the basement of the Oklahoma State Capitol. She continued to work for the State of Oklahoma for 39 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and daughter, Stacey Winters.
Leanne is survived by her sisters, Sharon Fordyce (Larry) , Lanette Mize, Jarita Burke (Steve), and Nancy Romine (Richard). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A burial for Leanne was held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Summit View Cemetery. A celebration of her life was held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday at Noble Avenue Baptist Church. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
Visitation was held Friday, 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
