Helen Anne Bartram

Helen Anne Bartram was born October 25, 1945. She left her earthly home for her heavenly home on July 20, 2021.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, William Bartram, Jr. her parents, Shepard Porter Morgan and Dovie Mae Morgan, sister, Wanda Morgan, brother, Don Morgan, and brother-in-law, Jim Bartram and brother-in-law, Joe Bartram.

She is survived by her six children, William David Bartram of Guthrie, Lydia Bartram of Guthrie, Stephen Bartram of Guthrie, Trent and Jane Ellis of Guthrie, Joe and Tequisha Bartram of Guthrie, Scott and Norma Digeso of North Carolina; along with six grandchildren, Micah Bartram of Oklahoma City, Brianna Bartram of Guthrie, Shelly Ellis of Guthrie, Shyla Ellis of Guthrie, Samuel Digeso of North Carolina, Samantha Digeso of North Carolina; her sister, Carole Autry of Norman; sister-in law, Kathie Dellenbaugh; niece, Sarah Thomas of New Mexico; nephews, Raymond Morgan of Norman, Tim Bartram of Guthrie, Larry Autry of Norman, and Carl Autry of Enid.

Helen’s ministry was hospitality and caring for others. Her continual cooking and baking was such a blessing to so many people over the years.

Helen was a stay-at-home mother but when her children were older, she embraced a new ministry, which was helping the developmentally disabled of Logan County. She worked for New Horizons in Guthrie for the past 34 years and just retired in January 2021. Helen held many positions within the agency and was especially proud of the work she did as a job coach. For many years, she supervised janitorial services at the State Capital Publishing Museum in downtown Guthrie.

Helen was a symbol of strength, humility, grace, wisdom, encouragement and perseverance. She will be deeply missed by her family and the Guthrie community.

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.

Visitation will be held Monday, 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
