Family COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic scheduled at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health will be hosting a Family COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic and Health Resource Fair for ages 12 and older needing their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

      The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 17, in the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Atrium, 1200 Children’s Avenue, Oklahoma City. Those vaccinated will receive the Pfizer vaccine. Participants must have two doses of the same vaccine to achieve maximum effectiveness. A second dose vaccine clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 7, at the same location.

      The event is open to adults and children, age 12 years and older (a parent or guardian must sign a release for children under 18 to receive the vaccine). The Regional Food Bank is providing Food for Health boxes for the first 250 families receiving vaccinations. Other community partners will be present to share information and resources for children and their families. The Thunder’s mascot “Rumble” is expected to make an appearance during the event, as well.
