From one project to another, Guthrie’s ongoing road construction is about to change.
The road work on Harrison Ave is completed. There had been delays finding a contractor who was available to complete the final paving, but on June 25, the final paving was completed. Guthrie’s Tourism Director, Justin Fortney, said the rest of the project would not be completed until after the weekend.
After the road work concluded, the project transitions into painting and construction of the door inside the stadium next to the road work. Fortney said this will occur after the weekend.
The cost of the project is $519,211.20
Just when this project is ending, another one is beginning. Some of Pine St. will be closed for the next few weeks to replace a bridge.
Expect the area between Cooksey and County Road 76 to be closed starting June 28. This closure is expected to last until Aug. 15.
