Jo Ann Biggs Sanders was born in Guthrie, OK on March 1, 1948 to Vernon Biggs and Mary Cox Biggs. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1966. She passed away March 10, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Jo Ann spent her time caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her tireless dedication to her family was a testament to how much she loved them. They were truly the apple of her eye.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sanders; her father, Vernon Biggs; her stepfather, Veldon West; and her great-grandson, Tony Sanchez.
She is survived by her mother, Mary West; her four children: LaDonna Carrillo, Regina Shirley, Keith Contreras (Holly) and Christi Contreras; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Carl Biggs (Diane), Gary West (Janet), Kenny West (Donna), Charley West (Terri) and Dennis West; two sisters, Vee Martinez and Georgette Dvorak (Mike); and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at A.I.M. Praise Center in Oklahoma City on March 19, 2021. Jo Ann was laid to rest at the Crescent Cemetery (Crescent, OK). She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
