Crescent’s competitive cheer team added another state trophy to its program history Saturday, finishing as the Class 2A state runnerup at the 2026 OSSAA Cheerleading State Championships.
The Lady Tigers scored 250.4 points in the championship competition Sept. 26 at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany. Savanna won the Class 2A title with 254.0 points, giving Crescent a second-place finish by a 3.6-point margin.
Pocola finished third with 242.4 points, followed by Hinton with 241.2 and Commerce with 237.0.
The runner-up finish adds to Crescent’s history of success in competitive cheer. The Lady Tigers won back-to-back Class 2Astate championships in 2021 and 2022, according to historical OSSAAresults. Crescent also finished seventh in the 2024 Class 2A championship with 209.0 points.
The 2026 championship was part of a full day of OSSAA competitive cheer state competition at SNU, with Class 2A and small- and largecoed divisions among those contested at the event.
Crescent’s secondplace finish gives the program another statelevel accomplishment and continues a history of competing among Oklahoma’s top Class 2A cheer teams.
