Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services is inviting the community to place its bets on hope and help fuel safety, empowerment and a path forward for survivors of interpersonal violence.
The organization’s Casino Royale Gala is set for Aug. 15, bringing together supporters for an evening of casino games, food, and silent auction. Although tickets to the event are sold out, community members can still make an impact by participating in the online auction and supporting Wings of Hope beyond the gala.
Wings of Hope provides comprehensive, confidential services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and child abuse or neglect. Its mission is to break the cycle of violence by providing safety, hope and empowerment while promoting social change through community awareness and client advocacy.
The need for those services is reflected in Wings of Hope’s 2025 numbers. The organization served 1,484 total clients and provided 13,584 services. Children accounted for 139 of those served.
Clients sought assistance for a range of experiences, including 749 domestic violence cases, 434 stalking cases, 203 sexual assault cases and 98 instances of other victimization.
Wings of Hope also answered 1,839 crisis line calls in 2025 and assisted with 336 emergency protective orders. Its counseling program provided 831 individual counseling sessions, 43 support group sessions and 590 hours of batterer intervention classes.
Shelter services remain a critical part of the organization’s work. In 2025, 198 individuals were housed in shelter, with an average stay of 29 days. Wings of Hope also recorded 125 unmet individual shelter requests, underscoring the continuing demand for safe housing.
In 2025, Wings of Hope also opened a program at its Logan County facility designed to assist survivors of sexual assault.
