Hoite “Glen” Pugh was born on February 3, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Sadie (McCoy) Armstrong. He passed away on April 24, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 85.
As a young child, Glen attended the Assembly of God Church. He graduated from Guthrie High School in 1959 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. Following his service, he worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors, where he dedicated many years of hard work.
Glen found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially browsing antique stores, admiring old cars, and attending auctions. Glen was a member of the Choctaw Nation and carried that heritage with pride. Above all, he had a deep love for his pets, who were truly like children to him and brought him great comfort and companionship.
Glen is survived by his brother Jackie Dumont; sister Brenda Sykes; and sister Vickie Shuffield and husband Jimmie.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Mildred Euliss; his twin brothers, Gene and Johnnie Dumont; and his niece, Angela Shuffield.
Glen will be remembered for his quiet strength, his appreciation for the past, and the love he gave to those closest to him.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie.
Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Friends and family may sign the online guestbook at hayesfh. com.
