Nikki Bos Named General Manager of the News Leader

The Guthrie News Leader has announced the appointment of Nikki Bos as its new general manager.

Bos previously served as content and sales manager, where she demonstrated strong leadership, sound judgment, and commitment to readers, advertisers, and staff, according to owner and publisher Rochelle Stidham.

“Her understanding of both the editorial and business sides of the operation, including our expanding digital services, makes her uniquely qualified to step into the role of general manager,” Stidham said. “We are confident she will continue to move the newspaper forward.”

Although Bos has been with the newspaper a short time, Stidham said her passion for Guthrie, its people, and the role of local journalism has already made a meaningful impact.

Since joining the Guthrie News Leader, Bos has emphasized the importance of small town journalism as a trusted voice, a community record, and a connection between neighbors, while remaining focused on guiding the paper forward.

“Local news matters because people matter,” Bos said. “Guthrie has a rich history and a strong sense of pride, and it’s an honor to be part of a newspaper that has shared this community’s stories for generations. Carrying on the Guthrie News Leader’s long history is not something I take lightly, and I am committed to serving this community with care and dedication.”
