Born August 18, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, LaVeda was a longtime resident of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church of Guthrie. Preceded in Death by husbands Gilbert LeFlore and William Nottingham, and one granddaughter Amanda Kukuk. LaVeda leaves behind daughter Novauna Huston and son-in-law Kelly Huston; daughter Laura Wessels and son-in-law Gerald Wessels; son Gilbert LeFlore and daughterin- law Crystal LeFlore, five grandchildren – William McCray, Carrie Crutchfield, Nathaniel Reeves, Leigha Wooley, Parker LeFlore, and three great grandchildren. LaVeda was called home on December 6, 2025, with family around her and listening to hymns.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 SW 104th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73139 on December 9th at 10 a.m.
