The price of copper is on the rise, and with it, the thefts of copper inside of Logan County are becoming noticeable.
Damon Devereaux, Logan County Sheriff, reported the dilemma to the Board of County Commissioners at the Aug. 26 County Commissioners meeting. The problem is combating the thefts.

Guthrie Road Celebration Returns for 38th Event

Love classic cars and car shows?
Guthrie’s 38th Annual Road Celebration is primed to deliver on both Sept. 11, when it takes place at Mineral Wells Park.
At the show, visitors can expect to see cars from as far back as the “before 1939” car class. Registration is $20.

The Logan County Free Fair is back in 2021. The fair book is now available at the Logan County Extension Office at the Logan County Fairgrounds. The coloring contest entries are due today at the extension office.
The indoor entries for the Educational Building will start next Wednesday, Sept. 8.
