Goals for Guthrie in 2022

It’s December, and that means the new year is just around the corner. Guthrie’s community leaders are ready. We at the Guthrie News Leader caught up with some of them to reveal the goals each of them has for the new year. G u t h r i e Superintendent Mike Simpson is one of those leaders.

Pfizer COVID-19 Booster Recommended for Ages 16-17, Available Now

Guthrie Public Schools to Resume Offering COVID Testing

Beginning Monday, December 13th, Guthrie Public Schools will once again partner with Total Wellness to host a testing hub available for GPS staff members, students, Logan County first responders, City of Guthrie employees and immediate family members of each group listed.

Cutting waste during the holiday season

STILLWATER, Okla. – ‘Tis the season to celebrate the holidays, exchange gifts, attend parties and enjoy extended family around the table. It’s also the season to generate more waste: Between Thanksgiving and mid-January, most households generate about 25% more waste than any other season.

Commissioners Discuss Broadband, Log Jam at Meeting

Multiple discussions had the Logan County Commissioners busy at the Dec. 6 Board of County Commissioners meeting. At first the conversation began with a meeting between the commissioners and Logan County Conservation District regarding the log jams on a bridge in the southern part of the county.
